With Amazon.com having a firm date in place for shipment (June 25th) of its N97’s it was only a matter of time before Nokia would also have to come clean as to when they would be shipping their units. Nokia has emailed N97 Club members stating that the phones are shipping to retailers this week (worldwide) and that online order status will be updated via email with shipping dates. Nokia has previously fumbled on pre orders with its XM5800 handset in the United States, many are worried that this might occur with the N97 U.S. release. I hope that this time everything works out as smoothly as Nokia planned.
Also, a kind reader that has preorded the Nokia N97 from Amazon sent us a screenshot stating that his N97 is estimated to ship between June 5th and 17th. We’ll see if they stand by this statement. See the image below:
