Following the N97 Q&A articles posted earlier, this is a direct follow up to the article “The Nokia N97 Q&A Page – Many Questions Are Answered”. Well, the guys at All About Symbian have updated their N97 Q&A page with more questions and answers. The questions ranges from Font size; dedicated Media keys (music player, etc); the UI response; the Email client (whether it’s still the plain old ‘inboxes’ S60’s or it received a face lift); using the N97 in USB mode; the Haptics effects of the keyboard; whether adding a birthday or anniversary on a contact entry automatically adds it to the calendar; SIP and VoIP to whether it has switchable Active Standby Profiles (like that of E71/E75).
One thing that caught my attention here is the fact that the Email is unfortunately still the plain old S60 Messaging. I am still looking forward to the day that Nokia will introduce an HTML email in their default messaging system. But, in the mean time, thanks to Nokia Messaging you can still get a more advanced email system.
It is also interesting to note that when adding anniversary and birthday entries to your contacts, this does not automatically add entries to your calendar. Honestly I am pretty much disappointed with Nokia. I use Ovi to sync my PIM info (Contacts/ Calendar/ Notes/ etc) and any of my contacts with anniversary and birthday entries automatically display this on my calendar, which is really cool.
Please head over to check the full updated questions and see if all your questions have been covered.
