I use Xilisoft video converter ultimate, really really simple. you just select the MPEG4 optimised for blackberry option in the profiles menu, add your file and click convert, works a treat!

When I watched 3 movies (ca. 600MB) than message: “Memory full, close some applications”. Crash of N97. I had to restart and wait some minutes = like with old computers to get start the phone again. What is this crap? How can Nokia create this memory Problem and how can I solve this problem?

Can someone tell why, after using the coding above, it keeps stopping at 20%, meaning i only get 20% duration of the movie on my phone. PLEASE HELP!!

I've just updated to the v20 firmware and all my MP4s which were encoded at 640×360 or less at 1024kbps all now stutter. Nokia, you really are bloody useless!

Hi,
Can't we watch a movie on N97 without converting it?? are there no players which support the screen resolution of N97?

Hey guys I'm wondering if anyone can help, I downloaded The Godfather Part 2 from The Vid Store when I got my N97. It played great for the first hour and 6 minutes but then it suddenly stopped playing. Then when I looked to start playing again it had “disappeared” from tv & videos folder. I managed to find it in my photos folder under downloads but it still wouldn't play beyond 1 hour 6 minutes. I am stumped can anyone plase help?

im having trouble putting films on my n97 ive got format factory could u tell me how to change the settings and what to put them on so the films work on my n97 i would b most grateful cheers

Firstly get yourself a good video converter. I prefer the "imtoo" range http://www.imtoo.com/video-converter.html this will sort out your conversion to your phone.

Now your problem with getting a movie onto your computer.
I am guessing your not extracting this movie from it's source (DVD) ?
if so your needing another program to extract this that will mean you can then "extract" the movie from the dvd to the filesize and format you need striaght away. http://www.imtoo.com/dvd-ripper.html . If your using only DVD's for your "source" then you will not ever need the other program.

You would need to encode the movie to MP4 at the screen resolution 640x360 this program will do this.
