i also use the same setting for converting the video.i converted the video of 23 MB, it was converted successfully. i transferred to the my N97. quality was good. but once i started playing video after 10 sec or something , pic get stuck and only the audio was playing... does any body have the same problem. i tried to reduce the video bit rate. but it reduces the quality of the video but the problem remain the same.....

before i used to use "MOVAVI video converter 10" which has a option for converting video for N97. which was the perfect converter for my N97. easy to use... does anyone have the activation key for that...i would appreciate for any help.

try using badaboom.. this uses Nvidia graphiccard as the converter in stead of using the CPU.. this makes it convert much faster

I use Super and MediaCoder to convert my videos.

I agree that the N97 (together with the N97 mini) is great for videos and movies! It has a large screen and definitely the specs to play good quality videos.

I even made an article showing also what settings to use in converting videos - http://www.techiechips.com/convert-movies-video...

I use Xilisoft video converter ultimate, really really simple. you just select the MPEG4 optimised for blackberry option in the profiles menu, add your file and click convert, works a treat!

When I watched 3 movies (ca. 600MB) than message: "Memory full, close some applications". Crash of N97. I had to restart and wait some minutes = like with old computers to get start the phone again. What is this crap? How can Nokia create this memory Problem and how can I solve this problem?

I've just updated to the v20 firmware and all my MP4s which were encoded at 640x360 or less at 1024kbps all now stutter. Nokia, you really are bloody useless!
