I just loaded up a couple of portable files that came with my blue-ray discs. No conversion was needed.

Madoda,

I'm getting used to the keypad and very fast with it. Touch UI is very good, much better than the 5800 in terms of responsiveness. Battery life - so so - it could be better like you said with a firmware update.

Bummer to hear about the upgrades being put on hold. Maybe they'll bring them back right when the E72 comes out ;-)

Finally, thanks Mike. Judging my many other reviews not entirely 'satisfied' about the keypad, I guess it isnt really as great as one would have expected it to be coming from Nokia is it?

What about the Touch UI (vs the iPhone's), your experience on that? Battery, I think that the BP-L4 battery is probably not enough for a power hungry phone like the N97 with all those multimedia goodies and the humangous screen. I hope this will be fixed by a FW update.

Overall, its good to learn that you are happy with the gadget man.

BTW: just been advised by my co. that all phone upgrades have been put on hold till further notice. I'm sure u dont wanna know how this makes me feel tsk tsk!

What are you using to convert your videos and how are you actually importing them? I'd love to know.
