Hmm, I wonder why there is no option to always allow? Seems a bit silly to me. It's my phone. I trust the app. I want to allow it permenantly. Prompts are REALLY annoying. Very frustrating. Same problem with the Facebook app -- you even get TWO prompts (one for network access as well as user data). Soooooo annoying. Any hacks or ideas anyone to get around this problem?

I can see it in full screen mode, but when I tap on any field (from, to, message...) the app shows me the native composition screen (ie., the black one, like when writing SMS's). I own a N97, BTW. Any ideas? (I tried to modify the MANIFEST file contained in the .jar archive, with no luck)

Have the same issue as Fer: fullscreen isn't working. Running 12.0.26 on the phone and Gmail 2.00(6).

Any suggestions? It looses some of the cool-factor with the standard header and footer still visible... :-/

[...] The only issue I had with the original icon is that it looked absolutely rubbish. Here’s an example of what it looked like before and after on the left. Images courtesy of N97Fanatics. [...]

Agreed, just installed the version from Google and it obviously is a newer version to the above mentioned "Modified Icon" version. Allows fullscreen, but has a dodgey icon. I'll take the better functionality over the better icon for now.
