One of the most anticipated features of the Nokia N97 is the Facebook application that will be available when the phone is launched. I’m not sure if it will come pre-installed when it ships or if you’ll need to download in from the Ovi Store, but Nokia says it will be ready. You can update your status, upload photos, save calendar invites to your phone calendar, maintain your Facebook messages, check out your notifications, and more. I captured a few screenshots of how this free application will look on the N97.

You can also tag and add descriptions to your photos before you upload them to Facebook directly from your N97.

From these screenshots it looks as though the Nokia N97 will make for a very good Facebook phone. Don’t forget you’ll also be able to see your Facebook notifications and status updates from the homescreen, as mentioned in the article that I wrote up last week.

I cant log in at all it just keeps sayin error incorrect signature...i have re dowloaded it but still the same thing is happening.....

Mick, at first it didn't work for me either. Finally I re-installed facebook to the f drive as it had more available space that the phones c drive.Then i did Natashas trick. Maybe try that. good luck.

I've tried all that stuff as well and i still can't get it to work. Delete. install etc etc. I have it works by using FB mobile internet but not the homepage one that was preinstalled and the ovi downloaded one.

I have tried the option Natasha said and i have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. NONE of these options work. I had it working once and i think it was because i found the Beta version of the app but do you think i can find it again now? If anyone has an actual way of fixing this that works please post so those of us who can't get it working can fix the problem..

Sorry should have also mentioned that after going into setting go to GENREAL then access point than change to internet. Still cant work out how a 24 blonde bimbo can work this out and the Nokia Techical Team cant. When are they going to start paying me I say. lol

Im glade it worked for you. I know how you feel, it was doing my head in until I worked it out. 6mths later and Nokia are still ringing me trying to tell me how to fix it ("update the latest software, remove app, re-download app, bla bla bla") I have told them how I fixed and and they still ring to tell me shit.

Guys after spending 2 months on the phone to Nokia ,3 phones later tying to fix this problem and they could not help me with the error incorrect signature status 104, i have worked it out. A simple setting change
go to your
main menu-web-opions-settings-access point-change to interent

I too am having the Incorrect Signature status :104 error when I try to login to facebook. It was working fine one day, my phone died and upon recharging and attempting facebook login I first recieved this error. I can't seem to login to facebook at all. Any ideas/suggestions?

WOndering if anyone can help.. My facebook application was working fine and i went to USA.. i came back and now everytime i try to ssign in it says Incorrect signature. status: 104

Not sure why its doing this..

Why doesnt it have a notifications button to view this on your N97? Thats the main point of Facebook? Sarah

Unfortunately... the facebook app is no longer available in the OVI store which is weird.... I think the problem has to do with the Symbian version of the facebook app and not the N97 itself... Is anyone else having this problem of their personal Facebook wall not being updated since June?

My Wall Page on the Facebook Application in my N97 has stopped updating since June 22. The rest of my friends updates are appearing okay... why is that? The latest firmware did not seem to address this issue...

Hmm I have no idea. Try finding the app in the Ovi Store and reinstalling it.

Hmm, I'm not getting a notification either through the app but I have those notifications emailed to me so I always know when it's updated.

I'm not sure when Facebook will be coming for the E71, I suppose maybe after the N97 ships. That's just a guess though. I'm also looking forward to trying it on my E71.
