The Facebook application will come preloaded on the Nokia N97 – right out of the box. If you’ve been living under a rock the past few months then you will be excited to find out that the Facebook application gives you live updates on the homescreen, as pictured above in the bottom left corner.  You can see the three most recent updates from your friends.

The four main areas of the Facebook app for the N97 are Home, Profile, Photos, and Inbox. To see how this all ties together check out the video below that Nokia recently created:

If you want to see screenshots of the Facebook app in action check out this post a made a few weeks back. It shows status updates, photo uploads, calendar entries, and the profile screen. That post does not include the Facebook Inbox screenshot. I’ve include a screenshot below of how the inbox looks on the N97:

Are you liking the Facebook app on your N97? What do you think can be improved. If you have any questions about it let me know and I’ll do my best to answer.

Stay tuned for a close look at Twitter applications for the N97.

Does it really work with your N97s? I have to write everything in capital letters, as the phone is only accepting numbers and symbols and not the letters! The symbol key doesn't work in comments etc.
  • I'm not experiencing that problem with the latest firmware, however I have
read others in certain regions of the world have that problem.

Hi. I want to know why my facebook wall can't be updated by my newer data and stopped updating on 24. April. I'm from Czech Republic (if the time zone could be the problem ...). I've seen some same question on net, so it's not isolated case i hope
  • Would definitely like to see the N97 Twitter plugin :)
