There was an update to Profimail (this morning I think) that expanded the number of places where kinetic scrolling is used. Now when you tap on the header of a message to view it in full (and as HTML as the case may be), you can scroll through the message, whereas before it would simply highlight the text. There is still an option to highlight the text of course if you wish.

There's an update to Profimail that I just discovered when opening the app today. I have a setting that checks for updates automatically, and guess what, it checked for an update automatically. The version number went from 3.22 to 3.25. It appears that the new version has some E72 bug fixes, as well as a few upgrades to how new message notifications are handled.

You may want to re-check your configurations and tweaks after installing, however, as I've run into a few of my settings being reset. Nothing important, just a few preferences that I had to redo.

One other thing that I've been meaning to mention. When viewing an eMail in fullscreen mode (i.e. not from the preview window), you can swipe left and right to see the next and previous eMails respectively. Very handy tool that I use often.

I agree as well that it is a symbian thing and not a Profimail thing (I
apologize if I didn't make that clear in the article).

I wish the FM transmitter ONLY transmitted music files. For instance, when
I get out of my Jeep and pause the music, the transmitter goes on
'standby', which is quite nice for when I jump back in the car and the
music automatically starts transmitting when I press play. However, if I do
something else on my phone between these 'transmissions', say, watch a
YouTube video, the sound is automatically transmitted when I don't want it
to. Then I have to switch to the homescreen (sometimes exiting the app) and
disable the transmitter. A bit of an annoyance.

Re “notification sound played over FM transmitter”: I don't think that this issue is Profimail related. I use my N97 with my car stereo over bluetooth and also have this “issue” when I get a text message or an email (Nokia Messaging). The music fades out, the notification file is played, music fades in and continues. Seems to be a player/ symbian thing that all sound files are transmitted.

It can keep a record of your messages if you like, it depends on your Profimail and/or server settings, etc. Gmail, for instance, has an option that archives messages from your inbox when they are 'POPped' to any email client. I have that option turned on in my Gmail account, so when my Outlook 'POPs' the messages, they are removed from my Profimail client.
