Hi I have done both Nss and Jaf and used 0585162 UK mini and 0570817 but when I go back to Nokia suite just says no updates for firmware 10.0.020 it gives me the option to reinstall which I assume I have to do to debrand as its still orange logos etc.

But whats the difference between :
0592881: N97 mini RM-555 Country Variant United Kingdom GB CwM Black
0591466: N97 mini RM-555 Country Variant United Kingdom GB V1 BLACK

CwM or V1 or doesn't make a difference.

Brilliant site even though mines still not debranded - YET LoL

ATB

I'm using a mac for this, I don't think it will work with wine, I see why not to work with bootcamp, but myself, I'm using VMware and it worked OK.

Hello potential up-daters. I had a UK Vodafone branded N97 with v20.0.019 FW. I wanted to use the new free Ovi maps but Vodafone wont let me as usual. So using these tips I changed my producy code from 0585262 to 0585162: [ RM-505 Country Variant United Kingdom GB - Black ]

That is all I did, no soft or hard reset, no rebuild, just change the number. I restarted the phone checked SW updater on the phone and there were the free maps, right there. I now have them installed and they work great.

To anyone who is thinking about it, if you can read and follow these instructions, you will have no problem, it really is easy.

To ask me more follow me @Bashed on twitter, I'll be happy to help.

Don't email me as I'm using my anti-spam email address.
